Multiple
Opportunity
Analyzing my teams daily standups through the years, I uncovered a process optimization opportunity to improve the meeting communication.
My observations
- The same attendees tend to speak up first.
- The same attendees tend to speak last.
- Multiple attendees end up speaking at the same time or over each other.
- There’s the long pauses before someone calls, “I can go.”

Results
I built meeting shuffle in React and introduced it to the teams standup meetings. It tremendously helped shuffle things up in a great way.
How it helped
- It eliminated the guessing game of "Who goes next".
- Everyone on the got an opportunity to speak first or last.
- It removed the awkawed long pauses.
- It removed any bias and kept things organized.
Try it out for your teams
As the meeting coordinator, you can add the attendees names and simply hit shuffle to get the randomized list. Just like that, no more attendees speaking over one another or awkward pauses.
